A number of years ago, Career Press published my book Small Business for Big Thinkers. In the book there is a chapter titled Position Yourself. Learn to Brag. So often we are raised to be humble, not to brag about accomplishments, not to go for the awards. But recognition is important if you want to be known as an expert in your field.  And who doesn’t want that? After all no one wants to work with someone who is just average.

I decided to take my own advice and do a little bragging. I am so honored that West Michigan Magazine decided to run a feature on me and acknowledge the 35^th Anniversary of CK and CO Media Production.  When you look at the statistics on small business failure, it is enough to deter even the bravest individuals from following their dream. I followed mine and I hope to share what I have learned with others.
